NLP and the Law of Attraction

Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP is a method to use your thoughts and actions to achieve what you really want in life. NLP believes that you can achieve anything you want if you apply your mind to it. Law of attraction also focuses on the same principle which says that whatever you will think of, you will attract. NLP and law of attraction, both stress upon the importance of keeping a positive attitude in life, focussing on positive intentions and outcomes and generally achieving a balanced and a happy life. So, what is the real connection between NLP and law of attraction?

The connection between law of attraction and NLP is that while law of attraction tells you to attract happiness into your life, NLP is the technique to do that. Law of attraction has three steps:

1. Conceive or Ask
2. Believe
3. Achieve

1. Conceive or Ask: Conception or asking is the first step of law of attraction. You need to first state the your intention for a certain outcome. Most people know what they want but have already thought and conceived the road blocks in their plan before actually charting out the course of action! Most people subconsciously feel that they are not worthy of achieving happiness and wealth no matter what they do. Their limiting beliefs prevent them from achieving their goals in life. Hence just stating your intention to the universe is not enough, you need to believe in it to achieve it! Here NLP is a great tool in manifesting the law of attraction. NLP works at dispelling your subconscious beliefs about your abilities and competence. NLP operates on dispelling these beliefs and clearing the clutter in your subconscious mind.

2. Believe: NLP helps you to believe in the power of your thoughts. While law of attraction is the principle, NLP is the method to achieve your aim. NLP reprograms your mind and makes you believe in your ability to manifest your desires

3. Achieve: Law of attraction says that you can attract all that you want in life. However, we need to be open to receive it and acknowledge it. NLP makes us believe that we are capable and competent of receiving what we ask for.

Law of attraction demands that you visualize your outcome and focus on the happy feelings. It says that you need to use positive emotions to express your desires. NLP focuses on the positive vibrations and feelings. NLP teaches you how to visualize your dreams and desires so that they become real. Visualization is the first step to manifestation. Hence, you need to visualize in order to attract the kind of life you want.

NLP and law of attraction are the two sides of the same coin. Each is dependent on the other. It wont be wrong to say that while law of attraction is the principle, NLP is the method to make that principle work. Together they can give you a great life!

Using Attraction Principles in Your Business – Are You Skeptical?

Darrin Hawkins
Categories: Attraction

“I can see the logic in Network Marketing, but The Law of Attraction and Attraction Principles? I ask you. What a load of mumbo-jumbo!”

So says the hard-edged business professional who has always found success through the fruits of talent and hard graft.

Is there anything to it really or is it just the latest fad?

I must have spent hundreds of pounds over the last two years on stuff related to LoA: on books, online courses, watching “The Secret” on the internet, and various CDs that “retune” your vibration!

The cynic may argue that all this had absolutely no effect and that doubling my income, clearing my debts and getting a brand new car were all just coincidences. It was all really just the result of a more positive psyche….but why should I care what a cynic might say…?

Wallace Wattles (“The Science of Getting Rich”) “There is an exact science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches, and once these laws are learned and obeyed by anyone, that person will get rich with mathematical certainty. ….Do not listen to arguments against this idea.”

Good advice from Wally Wattles. Obviously I highly recommend the book!

The movie “The Secret” has brought the Law of Attraction to a wider audience. It has generated a lot of interest and with it a market for all things associated with it. The cynics would wonder if the only people actually manifesting money are the ones selling law of attraction tips or life-coaches providing their clients with law of attraction coaching!

“The Secret” movie does introduce basic attraction principles but it is very simplistic.

It makes it sound easy and effortless. All you have to do is think the right thoughts and – Hey Presto – your deepest desires are manifest. You manifest money and abundant wealth.

Hmm. Sounds too easy.

The concept is simple. But that does not mean it is easy.

Wallace Wattles (“The Science of Getting Rich”) “There is no labour from which most people shrink as they do from that of sustained and consecutive thought. It is the hardest work in the world.”

It takes effort, but not physical effort. It takes sustained mental effort, self-training and continual correction until you are in a state of being that you can only describe as being “In the zone”, like a sportsman on the top of his/her form. You visualise whatever it is you want and you and the resources around you come together to create it.

Your mind is the blueprint, the architect, and the universe responds and brings about whatever it is you are visualising. It is almost like you get lucky!

As Gary Player was attributed as saying “The more I practice the luckier I get”.

The reason that some people find it so hard to put attraction principles into practice is because attitudes and beliefs can be very ingrained. Thoughts can become automatic responses and it takes a mental discipline to change your thinking.

Nonetheless using the law of attraction is an integral part of being successful in Network Marketing without hassle or hustle.

As we explore it and learn to apply attraction principles here we can remain pragmatic.

If you are skeptical then treat it as an experiment. Use the techniques and tools and see what difference they make…

Does Deliberate Attraction Ever Not Work?

The Law of Attraction ALWAYS works.

So when you attempt deliberate attraction why don’t you always get the reality creation you ask for?

The LOA does not work according to your conscious thoughts but according to your sub-conscious vibrational thoughts. It is Law and will always apply. Just like gravity.

“Deliberate Attraction” is when you harness the LOA to consciously create your own reality.

But…..

Do you have a nagging doubt?

Do you have a feeling that what you are asking for is more than you can receive, or more than you deserve?

Do you want something someone else has because you are envious?

Any sort of negative thought or emotion:

* Guilt & shame

* Negative emotions anger or resentment, jealousy, and pride

* Fear and anxiety & self pity

* Idleness

* Ingratitude

…will prevent you being on the right wavelength or frequency to be able to receive the answer you think you are asking for and will thwart the process of deliberate attraction.

It is rather like tuning your radio to the frequency of the radio station you want to listen to. If the music you want to hear is on 101.4 FM and you are dialled in to 97.2 FM you won’t hear the music!

So how can we get rid of the interference to our reception and be properly tuned in so that we can receive the answers?

1) – Guilt and Shame

Guilt, shame and the associated feelings of unworthiness will certainly knock the tuning dial away from the frequency you need. Like attracts like. How can your deliberate attraction include receiving abundance and manifesting money if you feel inside that in someway you don’t really deserve it?

Such feelings stem from doing something that we know or feel to be wrong, or a mistake that we have made in the past.

What can we do about it?

We can stop doing whatever it is that causes those feelings, which may not be easy as humans can have very addictive natures.

We can make restitution as best we can. If we have hurt or offended someone we can apologise and do whatever we can to repair any damage.

We can forgive ourselves. Often we are our own harshest judges and beat ourselves up when we needn’t. We can recognise that we are human and make mistakes, and move on.

Christians believe that Jesus atoned for our wrong-doings, that He paid the price and so takes away our shame and guilt. Other religions or beliefs suggest that there is no absolute right or wrong and so therefore we cannot dwell on the negative emotions but seek peace through learning from these experiences.

However I am not talking here about religion and salvation – that is a different conversation – just how to be effective in deliberate attraction and reality creation.

So if you have feelings like this that hinder the process then do what is necessary for you to feel comfortable accepting good things and lose any feelings of guilt.

2) – Anger, Resentment and Jealousy

If you have anger, resentment or jealousy you have to let go of it. As you forgive yourself and move on then forgive other people their errors. Take a view that they did what they did because they had not yet learned any better. Because that is the truth!

We have to overcome pride and recognise that there are greater powers in the universe than us, that we rely on. The air that we breathe the food that we eat is all provided for us regardless of what we do.

Pride means we are trying to take the credit for everything whereas there are normally a great number of different resources and people that come together to provide what we want.

We need to recognise that and stop being so full of our own importance.

3) – Fear and Anxiety

Fear and anxiety stop us from aligning ourselves with the answer and receiving. What is the point of asking and then fearing, doubting or being anxious? It is the same as going to an ATM and then expecting it not to dispense the money you asked for.

Dale Carnegie “Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment.”

If we ask for our situation to improve, but then go back and wallow in self-pity or focus on what is wrong without attempting to reach for the better place ourselves, then how will we be able to hear the music that is being broadcast on a different channel!

4) – Idleness and Procrastination

You don’t get what you want and then put forth effort. You put forth effort first. If you don’t direct and improve your life no-one else will. Successful people do what others don’t like to do.

Magnify your calling in every area of your life. Live it to the full and give of your best in whatever you engage in.

We cannot excuse lack of work and effort on the basis that through deliberate attraction everything just lands in our lap. It won’t work quite like that.

We can absolutely learn and be inspired to work smart and be wise in what action we take, when and how. The headless chicken approach, where we do everything and run ourselves into the ground also betrays a lack of trust in abundance. It shows that we are relying on ourselves and trying to manipulate the process rather than let go and allow.

But doing nothing will achieve the same result – Nothing!

5) – Ingratitude

We can show gratitude by acknowledging all things that have worked for our good, including those more challenging experiences that have taught us wisdom.

Moreover if we don’t have gratitude we can very quickly fall into dissatisfied and negative thought regarding things as they are. Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life.

There are Three Levels of Gratitude:

1 – “Circumstantial”, where we say thank you when things “go our way” or we get something we want. Try keeping a gratitude journal. Every day list half a dozen ways the day was good, or note something that went well. Do it every day. Write “Thank you”. See the difference it makes.

2- “In spite of” - where we don’t like something, but we know that the challenge or whatever is for our higher good and that we know there will ultimately be benefits, blessings and opportunities so we choose to be grateful anyway

3- “Continuous” – We live in a continual state of thankfulness, seeing the good in everything and everyone. We need to strive for this so that whatever our circumstances and experiences we can find something to be grateful for.

Baha u’llah: “A thankful person is thankful under all circumstances. A complaining soul complains even if he lives in paradise”

Rabbi Harold Kushner: “If you concentrate on finding what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.”

We should strive to be in a state of continuous gratitude.

Work on these things and you will find that deliberate attraction of the things you really want becomes easier and faster.

Law of Attraction – Science Behind the Belief

T. A. Whiston
Categories: Attraction

The law of attraction is more than just thinking positively and hoping for the best. In fact there is concrete science behind your innate ability to attract everything you desire. This article will explain the scientific nuts and bolts behind the law of attraction.

If you’re like many people you love the idea of being able to use the law of attraction to manifest the things you want in life. But you may have a problem letting go and fully believing this will work for you because it’s contrary to what the mainstream education and media systems call reality.

For the next couple of minutes forget about what the average person considers realistic. After all, how many “average” people do you know who are really happy with their lives? The fact is most people are not scientists, and therefore it’s not fair to assume the status quo reality has anything to do with scientific knowledge.

It’s sad but true: Most people are not comfortable believing they can really have everything they want in life. They’d rather play it safe and stick with the familiar ground of disappointment and struggle.

The law of attraction is real. It’s every bit as real as gravity. In fact gravity is one example of the concept of attraction in action.

Bodies in our solar system maintain their orbits because the magnetic pull of the sun. You and I are able to remain rooted on the earth because we are attracted to it by gravitational forces.

If you boil these forces and laws down you’ll see they are not unlike the laws behind attraction and manifestation. This takes a bit of expansive and even abstract thinking, but it’s quite logical if you take the time to ponder it.

Now let’s have a look at a few specific scientific theories/studies that support the existence of the law of attraction.

First of all you should be aware of the belief many scientists hold that time is not linear as we perceive it. In other words, many theories exist that time does not move from point A to point B the way we experience it; in fact time does not really exist at all as a natural law.

Time is a construct. It’s a phenomenon we as humans agree on as a way of managing our lives and the world around us. The truth is everything that could happen is happening right now, and our conscious minds identify and separate these events into different moments and possibilities.

In simpler terms, endless possibilities are actually taking place right now in an unlimited number of dimensions, or universes. And the human mind is consciously aware of only one of these realities at a time, thus resulting in the illusion of time progressing moment to moment.

Hugh Everett was among the first researchers to popularize this idea through the Relative State Formulation. Later Bryce Seligman DeWitt renamed this formulation the Many-Worlds-Theory.

Some people also call this belief in infinite dimensions or realities the Multiple Worlds Theory. Physicist John Wheeler, among many others, suggests that each of us chooses the reality or universe to observe from moment to moment, thereby creating our own distinct reality.

Think about this for a moment. Right now, as you read this article, you are observing/occupying a specific “timeline” or dimension; you have a job, a home, friends, hobbies, etc. But there could also exist simultaneously another dimension or reality where you are a multi-millionaire, or one where you have your ideal body, or one where you live happily with your dream mate.

One way to think of the law of attraction is to consider it the act of choosing which reality to observe. By way of focused intention you attract to you the exact reality you prefer to inhabit.

Another great theory to help explain the law of attraction is the Wheeler-Feynman Absorber Theory, which was originally designed to explain the actions of charged particles, such as photons. Consider this model:

You have a desire, thus emitting specific particles. This makes sense as everything in the universe is made up of energetic particles, including thought waves.

As the particles of your thought/desire leave the source (you), they send an offer wave forward in time to the detectors, or possibilities. When this offer wave, made up of your intentions, reaches the target detector, or possibility, the detector responds with an echo wave.

These two waves (offer and echo) can interact in a number of ways. They can cancel one another out, build on one another, or intersect in other ways within an interference pattern.

This is all taken from a model using particles and waves. But since your thoughts are measurable energy, i.e. particles and/or waves depending on the moment of observation, the theory is totally applicable to you intending or attracting one of many possibilities to yourself by sending an offer wave out to multiple detectors or realities.

You are essentially vibrating a specific intention, or offer wave, and then choosing which detector, or result/reality, to observe through your thoughts and actions.

So if you’ve sent an offer wave in the form of an intention to create more money, and your thoughts and actions are focused on creating this reality, you will attract the new result you want. Conversely if you’ve sent the offer wave of creating more money but your thoughts and actions are fretting your current lack and complaining about what you don’t have you’ll end up canceling out your initial intention.

This article really just scratches the surface of the science behind the law of attraction. But as you can see here the dynamics at play are very real.

And in most cases the reasons for not believing in your ability to attract a chosen reality are pretty far from scientific. Let’s face it: just saying “that’s not possible” really doesn’t measure up to the evidence that supports the law of attraction.

Introduction – Using the Law of Attraction and Children

Nancy Stremmel
Categories: Attraction

There is a fine line when using the Law of Attraction…. Isn’t that an annoying way to start this topic, or any, but in truth there is a fine line between helping a child to believe in “you can do anything” and setting realistic goals. There is a fine line between helping a child to be in the here and now, the real world rather than a fantasy world, and yet helping them to push the goal just a little past their comfort zone. The Law of Attraction is both fantasy and reality, which is why I am talking about a fine line. It is a fantasy (visualization) that you treat as a reality (imagining that you already have it.) It works because your unconscious does not know the difference between fantasy and reality. Neither does a young child. This is a complexity of using the Law of Attraction.

By the age of five or six, the school expects a child to know that they don’t have a fairy godmother, they cannot fly, and dragons are not going to attack them after school. The school expects them to be ready to learn that firemen put out fires with water or fire extinguishers, and that they travel to the fire on a fire truck. Magic is not included. They expect the child to be ready to learn that bread is baked from a combination of yeast, water and flour, and that it rises without the requirement of a magic wand. They expect a child to be ready to learn that if they work at something, they can master it, and that they are not born knowing everything. Welcome to the world of reality and using the Law of Attraction. Their parents don’t have a magic wand, or, do they?

“I can’t do It!”

I am always distressed when I hear a child say, “I can’t” when s/he has not even given it a real try. I will repeat that. I am hugely distressed when I hear a child say, “I can’t” when the evidence is they haven’t given it a fair try. Learning is a process, and sometimes a difficult process, so the question is, what gave him the idea that he should be able to do the task without going through the learning process? Magic and using the Law of Attraction? An omnipotent spirit is stuffed into a babies body and they are born to one or two human parents. It takes a while before they understand that they, and their parents, are working by new rules and the limitations must sometimes seem severe. It’s better when they are using the Law of Attraction with their peers. What do I mean by that?

Did you ever watch children without parents or TV play? It’s the same as when they learned to walk. The process is a natural one. Children see what their peers can do and then they compete with each other. One child runs faster, and another child tries to catch him.

Three children ride their bikes up the hill, and the other child who used to get off and walk up the hill, works harder than ever to stay on the bike the whole way to the top. This is using the Law of Attraction. He has visualized the process with himself on his bike, he feels what it will feel like and then he sets out to do it. If this child is two years younger, he will be the first of his age group to master the hill and will feel the confidence and success of having his peer group chasing after his accomplishments.

Five children are jumping off the rock quarry cliff into the soft green water below. The last child who is afraid of heights, masters his fear and follows his peers with his eyes tightly closed. He might land wrong and slap his side or his back, but the redness is a badge of courage. His peers oh and ah and congratulate him. The next time, he might keep his eyes open so that his landing is less painful.

Back to the child who says, “I can’t.” I have never heard a child say it to his peers. He says it to adults. The way in which the adult responds will determine how this child deals with difficulty for many years to come.

You have a choice. You can support your child’s incompetence, or you can help him learn what it is to master a new task. When he is with his peer group, and sees them doing something that is hard, he sees that it is possible. When he is with you, he does not see how a “little guy” could possibly do what it is you want him to do. Your job is a little harder because you must give him both a desire to do something he doesn’t want to do, and a vision of success.

This is using the Law of Attraction.

How do you instill the dream or desire to learn to do a Karate Kata? He will do it to please you if he knows that you expect it. How do you instill the dream or desire to learn to swim? This is easier, I think. You can make swimming look like a lot of fun if you play in the water. Play with your partner. Play with some older children. Your child will learn that your family swims, and will want to be part of the family. It will be worth the water in the face, and the choking from swallowing or snorting a little water and the burning sensation from too much water in the eyes. This is using the Law of Attraction. It will be worth it to get to share in that fun that he sees you having. If you sit on the beach with a book, and the older children in your family sit on the beach, your child might not learn to swim. It just won’t be possible to instill in your child the vision of swimming out into the deep water, if his family isn’t swimming out into the deep water. It will be very difficult to make the water look like fun if everyone else is sitting on the beach. This is using the Law of Attraction because without the vision, he won’t do it.

Reading is the same process and requires using the Law of Attraction. If your child doesn’t see you reading for pleasure, thus developing a vision, how will he come to think that it is pleasurable? You might be lucky. He might see a baby sitter read for pleasure or a neighbor, or a grandparent. But, if no one in a child’s life is reading in the evening, he will only learn to read well enough to avoid embarrassment at school. Just as with the swimming, without a vision of reading for pleasure, he will have no desire. This again is using the Law of Attraction, unconsciously and in the negative.

Your fears and dreams will inflict themselves on your children. This is the Law of Attraction. If you are afraid that they will be hurt, and this is accompanied by a great deal of feeling, they will be hurt. If you are feeling joy at their discovery and mastery, they will continue to discover and to master new tasks. If you feel confident about their capability, they will feel confident and move forward to mastery with each dream.

The Pleasure Principle:

Children operate on the pleasure principle. This too is using the Law of Attraction isn’t it? As Jack Canfield and Mike Dooley emphasize; it is only when you muster feeling, joy, hope or ecstasy, that your dreams are going to manifest. Children feel the greatest joy and satisfaction when their parents smile at them, but the smile has to be more than a smile with your mouth. You must smile with your eyes and with your heart to really touch a child.

You know this. When you have a dream, and family or friends encourage you, you can do anything, but when they discourage you, it’s crushing. the Law of Attraction coach or master will tell you to stay away from your family, or at the least, don’t talk with them about your dreams. It is difficult enough to maintain a vision of your abundant future. When people you care about are either making fun of it or telling you it’s not realistic it makes it much more difficult. Napoleon Hill instructs you not to talk to anyone about your dream other than your master mind team. Wallace Wattles tells you not to talk to anyone at all about your visions!

Children follow this principle when using the Law of Attraction. They don’t talk in the beginning. They learn to smile, and you smile back at them. They learn to move their arms and legs, and you smile back at them. They learn to sit up or to burp and you smile encouragement at them. They learn to stand and to walk and you make a huge big deal out of it and they are happy. They see you smiling and sitting and walking and they want to be just like you. They have learned how to be successful.

When you are so ready to support your child, how is it that he has already by three or four years old developed an attitude that there is something that is not possible?

It’s the Little Things

Your child is jumping on your bed, and someone tells him to get down, “or he’ll get hurt.” When your child who has recently learned to walk is coming down the stairs and someone screams or jumps up to help, he gets the idea that life is too dangerous for him. The first time he decides to carry his dish to the sink, or to wash his diaper in the dishwasher…. When he falls down and skins his knee, he is a little shocked, but little children do not localize pain very well, so the one or two year old doesn’t feel the pain in his knee right away, and he does not know that endorphins are going to kick in and make the pain subside. If the reaction of nearby adults is one that makes him feel the pain and feel afraid, then he is learning to be afraid of challenge and of pain. This again is using the Law of Attraction to inhibit the child. If the reaction is one where he is praised for trying, and praised for being so brave, he will not be afraid of the next challenge, but will look forward to it. This too is using the Law of Attraction, for the positive outcome.

We are, almost every moment of every day, either giving a child a vision of a goal to strive for, or we are giving him a vision of a calamity he will also strive for. He will be using the Law of Attraction even when we wish he wasn’t.

In all fairness, other people can hinder him. If the baby sitter is afraid that you will blame any bruises on her care or lack of care…. If another child’s baby sitter is hysterical when he falls, your child might pick up that fear.

I have worked with fearful children, and it’s not easy to undo the instillation of fear. A child trusts a parent more than a teacher, babysitter or therapist.

Undoing that fear is a challenge.

Partiallize the task:

I want to go into more about how to do this in the next article, but I will give you some hints so I don’t leave you hanging. Climbing up onto a monkey gym might be frightening, but up one rung, and down, up one rung and down, up one rung and down is not. Always watch for the vision. What does the child get out of mastery. If he sees other children having fun climbing and sliding or jumping down, he will be motivated. If he sees other children getting hurt, he won’t be.

Start there. Find a park where children have fun.

Doing a whole Karate Kata might seem overwhelming, but one step at a time, and then adding a second step and repeating until body memory cuts in, and then adding the third, and so on, is not overwhelming and the child is learning to break down tasks into smaller, bite sized pieces. This is an excellent training process.

The next time the child has something to learn he will have the belief that he is capable of learning. He will have an image of himself as someone who learns and is successful at complicated tasks.

How to Learn the Law of Attraction – Step by Step

Adrian Abel
Categories: Attraction

How To Learn The Law of Attraction is now a hot subject. Many people are studying the Law of Attraction to manifest what they desire in life. From cars, wealth, family relationships to harmony with friends. Here is step by step on how you can learn the law of attraction.

1. Understand what is law of attraction

The law of attraction is when the Universe provides what you have been desiring into reality. If you desire a new laptop for example, the Universe will provide that laptop and make it appear in your reality unexpectedly.

2. Understand how law of attraction works

The Law of attraction works when you want it or not. It all begins with the mind. If you are thinking about something disastrous and you are very worried about it and believe it will happen, then this is the perfect recipe for the law of attraction to work.

The Universe does not know, whether you want that desire to happen or not. All it knows is that you have been thinking about it with belief and it is taken as an instruction to appear in your life.

3. What is needed for law of attraction to work?

When you practice the law of attraction, you need to meet the following requirements:

- thinking a lot about your desire as if you are experiencing it now
- have faith in your desire. Believe that it will manifest in your life with a doubt
- think of your desire in the present NOW. Not in the past or in the future.
- Visualize your desire. Actually see yourself and feel yourself experiencing your desire when you visualize
- Affirmation. Speak words to yourself which will gradually stick in your subconscious mind. Say positive things to yourself.

4. How do I know that I am applying the Law of Attraction properly?

If you are feeling happy and positive about your desires, and you are constantly motivated in your thinking, then you are applying the law of attraction. Think about it. If you are experiencing or imagining what you desire now, you are obviously happy about it. Vice versa, if you are worried and unhappy, then at that moment you are using the law of attraction in a wrong way. You are attracting the wrong things in life.

5. How fast does law of attraction work?

This is unknown. The law of attraction sometimes manifest our desires very quickly and sometimes they take weeks, months or years. All is known is that the Universe will receive your instructions, and then make situations happen which will let you receive your desire.

For example, if you are desiring a new car, then the Universe will probably arrange for a relative to win a competition and then pass the car to you as they don’t like it. There are many ways which the Universe will work to meet your desires. It takes its own time and uses its own way.

In summary, the Law of Attraction works and it involves you telling the Universe what you want with emotion. Using the above steps you are well on your way to learning the law of attraction. If your desires don’t manifest then you need to sit down and think quietly what the reasons are. The law of attraction works whether you want it or not.

Home Entertainment Theatre For Your Home

Sonia C Llesol

To add comfort and luxury in your home, try adding a home entertainment theatre. This will be a great substitute if you have no time to go out and watch movies. It is just like watching a movie with surround systems in the comforts of your own home. You can enhance the sound from your DVR or DVD by connecting an audio from the system to an A/V receiver or a home theatre system. You may connect the video directly to your television nevertheless; your theatre system could also support video connections.

A surround system does not only add louder music and movies to your home theatre, but it also immerses a viewer in the movie-watching experience. It has a system called multichannel that allows several speakers deliver a specific sound. As a result, you will feel in the middle of the action, and the reality of the movie is intensified.

The key to the best system is the set up. The excitement you feel in opening those boxes that contain your new system component usually turns into despair as you start to anticipate the assembly task ahead. There are some things you can do to get your home theatre system up and running sooner than possible. Bear in mind that installation is much an art as it is science, and that since you paid for it, then you and your family should enjoy it. Go with what sounds and looks right for you and the rest of the family.

Plan your installation properly. Be aware of the limitations of the room and plan accordingly. A sunny, bright room with several windows may not be the best location for a projection TV. If there is no other room, you can put blinds, drapes or shutters to shield out sunlight. Plan on where to place your system to allow placing the surround wires along the baseboard walls. Consider wall mounting the speakers to avoid them being knocked over. Find out the weight of the speakers and make sure that the mounts could handle more than the speaker weight by fifteen percent. Ensure that the mounts are securely held in the walls.

The surround system has at least five speakers and an optional subwoofer and receiver. All the components must be wired through the receiver, and install all the speakers in the best positions in your living room or anywhere you will be watching movies.

All TV DVRs have white and red stereo audio output jacks. You can use the red and white ends of the system to connect to one of the stereo audio inputs in your home theatre system or A/V receiver. Remember to turn on your theatre system and choose the right input when watching shows.

Some TiVo DVRs have optical digital audio outputs. If your home entertainment theatre supports digital audio, you can use optical digital cable, which is sold separately to connect your TiVo DVR to the optical digital audio on your theatre system.

If your home theatre system supports video connections, use the yellow end of to connect video from your TiVo DVR to the video input jack on the system. For a better video quality, you can use an S-Video cable if the system supports it.

Above everything, take your time in installing your home entertainment theatre. A few moments could save you a lot of time undoing a mistake. You are going to have plenty of hours enjoying your system, so take some extra time to ensure that you do it right. This especially goes to measuring and running the speaker wires, setting up the cable wires behind the equipment. Each extra time spent in proper setting up of your home theatre will save you from hours of fixing later on.

How to Weight Train For Mixed Martial Arts

Emile Jarreau

If you are interested in mixed martial arts, it’s good to understand how it works inside and out. At its essence, mixed martial arts (or MMA) is a sport that is literally “no-holds-barred.” There are many types of fighting as entertainment in modern media, such as professional wrestling and boxing, and MMA has recently entered the mainstream as well. Unlike boxing, though, MMA lets you use almost any part of your body, and almost any fighting technique you have learned, to knockout your opponent or make them submit through a submission hold.

If you’re interested in improving your own performance in mixed martial arts, whether you are a professional or an amateur, you should learn how to weight train for MMA to get the best results. After all, if you don’t come in at your peak physical condition, you are putting yourself at an unnecessary disadvantage. Both strength and fighting skills are critical in MMA, but even the right skills won’t go very far without the stamina and power to back them up. It will make your punches and kicks more powerful and your holds more effective. In fact, it doesn’t matter which martial arts you specialize in–being stronger will always help.

To be the strongest you can be, you should learn the proper strength training techniques for MMA fighters. If you don’t know these or you want someone to guide you, it might be a good idea to get yourself an MMA personal trainer. Of course, if you are just doing it for fun or as an amateur, you might not find it worth it to get a personal trainer, but if you want to become a professional, it is a good idea. Whether you go for a trainer or not, though, there is plenty that you can find out on your own and plenty of practice you can do to improve your performance.

So, if you’re serious about getting strong and doing your best in mixed martial arts, come up with a doable weight training plan. Remember that resistance is what you need to get more muscle. If you’ve ever seen a professional MMA fighter, you’ve noticed that he is practically solid muscle, with next to no fat or flab whatsoever. This is your goal as well.

In an average MMA fighter training session, you’ll probably spy squats, sit ups, bench presses, chest presses, shoulder presses, leg curls, leg extensions, upper arm curls, and power clean and jerk presses. For an MMA fighter, the most important parts of his body in terms of strength are the arms, legs, and core muscles. You should have the right strength training program in place so that you can develop those muscles in particular as much as you can.

So, now that you know a little bit more about how to weight train for MMA fighting, your choice is to keep doing whatever you’re doing now, ramp it up by taking on a more rigorous and regular weight training schedule, or to get a professional MMA trainer to really help you out. Regardless, using these tips will be very helpful for you in your MMA fighting career.

Combat Self Defense – Mindset and the Art of the Attack

D. Paul Walmsley

Catapult Your Ability To Protect Yourself To A New Level With These Inside Secrets

There are a number of misconceptions regarding self defense and the mindset required to be effective at it. On occasion the mere mention of the fact that you are a practicing martial artist was enough to strike fear in the minds of would be attackers.

This may have been correct at one point in history but barely holds water today. The mindset of true martial arts has changed. It has become more of an entertainment or sport but the objective of every martial art at its root is to deal with your opponent (or opponents) as quickly and efficiently as possible and survive the altercation intact without over exerting yourself.

The method of attack was geared towards using any and all means to overcome your opponent. This meant no holds barred and most certainly no set of rules or conduct. Now, of course this is not to be confused with the code of conduct to be followed while training in these arts. One can only conclude that through time, legends and storytelling that these mindsets have been blended and watered down corrupting these arts and its true representation.

Contrary to popular practice it becomes much more advantageous to show your opponent rather than tell you opponent what you’re capable of holding it back in surprise only for them to discover the grave mistake they have made. This enables us to capitalize on our opponent’s assumption that we are unable or unwilling to defend ourselves effectively.

Your method of attack should be designed as such to be as efficient and as violent as necessary as to allow your opponent to reconsider their action. Attacking your opponent in this manner affects their mindset in a very advantageous way for you. In many cases you attacker is not psychologically prepared for the method, intensity or sheer violence of your actions. This can provide you with the necessary influence to end the altercation without further violence.

It can be further recommended that as a practitioner a certain lack of compassion will serve you most well under these specific circumstances. The art of the counter attack is dependent on the opponent’s initial attack. That being said if the opponent chooses not to attack there are no consequences.

Your opponent’s fate most assuredly rests in their own hands. They will choose the method of their own destruction. In other words, everything becomes your opponent’s responsibility in regards to their well being. If they do not attack, they do not get hurt. This enables you, the practitioner to feel no guilt about your actions as they are only in response to the choices of your assailant.

Every situation is different and circumstances vary but it is up to the practitioner to use only the precise power necessary to end the altercation.
